for us there is only the trying
LIARS, I say
forforus, there is only the dying
so than, why do we?
care, love, try
and do countless other things
that don’t make any sense
at all
some say it’s our moral duty
I say, that is just a lie
something to keep us warm at night
to keep us from going mad
and some do
yet, we love
still, we try
we care, hug each other and smile
against all odds
against all judgement
maybe this is our greatest rebellion
our fist up God’s ass
and who says He doesn’t like it?
I know people that do like
a good fist up their ass
then again, who says He does?
maybe we got it all wrong but
